Life drawing: two models

Here's a figure drawing done in conté crayon on toned paper, then lightened with white chalk. It's about 18" by 24", more or less.

With one model, you get a life drawing. With two models, you get a narrative whether you want one or not. As soon as two people come together in a work, it stops becoming an exercise in rendering and starts to become about them and their relationship.

You can see more of my drawings from the model here and here, and scattered elsewhere in the blog.
