At least I think that they're hairy sunflowers! I saw them at a flowerstand and brought them home because they looked like pom-poms, like something from out of a Dr. Seuss book.

Still life painting with hairy sunflowers
Here's a little still life painting of three hairy sunflowers in metal cans. It's modestly scaled (16" x 20") and done with oils on canvas.
At least I think that they're hairy sunflowers! I saw them at a flowerstand and brought them home because they looked like pom-poms, like something from out of a Dr. Seuss book.
