Here's another painting of Arch Rock, in Pt. Reyes. It's 18" by 36", and done in oils on linen. It's a study for this, much larger triptych.
I like returning to the same subject repeatedly. It takes some time to understand and internalize a place, then develop a felt response to it. That's one of the reasons to do studies before starting a major piece.
