Thumbnail drawings

Here's a page from my sketchbook where I'm working out different types of environments to set paintings in. I'm trying to think through it systematically, to get a sense of what spaces evoke which moods.

I've been using this lovely walnut ink, which can be softened and diffused with washes of water. It lets you work and rework an ink drawing; the longer the ink sits the more permanent it is, but when it's just placed it can be lifted or erased completely....
