All that is left behind

This is another big, (5 foot wide) oil painting titled All that is left behind. It's one of these paintings that has a strong suggestion of narrative and character, but doesn't close the loop and demand a particular reading. People have seen the characters in all sorts of different relationships to each other, and have read the action differently too.

I guess what I'm trying to do is make these paintings that are symbolically loaded, but leave room for the viewer to interpret them.
